Apr 2019, Kyneton, Vic
A chill in the air that’s enough to make you gasp. Bluestone gutters littered with autumn leaves, old brick pubs, slate footpaths, stone buildings repurposed to become trendy stores, Bed and Breafasts tucked behind hedges and the warmth of a flaky pastry curry pie from Grist Bakers. I’m not sure if it’s the wintry atmosphere or not but the Grist pie has just shot up to No.2 on our National Pie Chart.

A pastry curry pie? Don’t mind if I do.

Ok – where can the no 1 pie be bought from?

Now you’ve thrown the proverbial cat amongst pigeons in or house…my vote is the Lismore Pie Cart, hubby’s vote is the curried scallop pie from several places around Tassie.

I tried a couple of scallop pies in Tassie, reluctantly at first, but they were surprising good. I haven’t tried the Lismore pie cart.
