Aug 2019, Maryborough, Qld
In the heart of historic Maryborough, Qld you’ll find a small riverside caravan park situated on the Mary River wharf. Everything you’ll need is within a few blocks. This historic area is well worth a leisurely walk. Nearby you’ll find a plethora of museums, old hotels and even the bank where Pam Travers (the author of Mary Poppins) once lived. The greenery of Queens Park is adjacent with its poignant war memorial and make sure that you catch the City Market held on Thursdays outside the Town Hall.

Maryborough looks nice but for once you’re visiting a place with a sensible name.

Except for the fact that the locals call it Marybra. I’m just waiting for the day some smart Alec hangs a giant bra from a flagpole.

I’ve heard so much about that little town, and all good.

We never tire of Maryborough. It is truly a lovely town well situated on a broad river with a well preserved historical precinct. There are some of the best examples of Queenslanders dotted throughout its surrounds. And plenty of inexpensive RV options.
