Sep 2019, Nambucca Heads, NSW
We’ve now got wind gusts to 50kms, the seasons are changing and we’re starting to wonder whether it’s time to head for home. The Prado’s and Toothless who’ve booked an extra few days have had to move sites but luckily to the sheltered side of the park. After they’ve settled in Toothless can stand it no longer, it’s time to go. They pack up again and hit the road for home and the grandkids.
We drive around town, walk along the beach and Woody gets drenched by a breaking wave when walking on the V wall.
The Prado’s new neighbours are from Tasmania, they can’t leave as a palm frond has damaged their car. The caravan park is footing the bill for the panel beating.
Toothless and his missus make it down to Bulahdelah, I reckon Toothless thinks this trip is The Great Race and he wants to be home first.
