A short drive along the Barham River flats behind Apollo Bay brings us to Paradise and a walk through the tree ferns to the river. It’s cool, damp and mossy with ferns growing on more ferns and tiny cascades in the river. As we follow the river back through farmlands we spot a koala sprinting between trees. Boy can they move fast on the ground.
