Capricorn Dancers, Day 37 – Precipitation

Day 37 Friday 2/7/21 Tannum Sands, more rain 23

This trip we’re learning a lot about precipitation. It starts raining again just after breakfast, thankfully it’s already a pleasant 20 degrees.

Driving over to Boyne Island is a much quieter shopping experience than in Bundaberg. If Covid has taught us one thing it’s an appreciation of less crowded places. The rain continues all afternoon and Woody goes for a long walk.

Double or Nuthin’ and Shirley Temple ring, (remember they left home on May 27th but turned around and went home to another lockdown) they’re now at Seymour in Victoria and wondering if they’re allowed into Queensland. Yes they are, if they scoot through New South Wales avoiding Greater Sydney.

Our neighbour coughs constantly making us concerned but not her husband he goes paddle boarding.

The rain eases enough for us to sit under the awning and watch the antics of the turkeys while the chicken roasts in the oven.

  1. Last time we were in Queensland during the dry season it rained, and it rained, and it rained. We would look at the weather forecast for NT and Broome – sun, sun, and sun. It’s the reliable sun here that brings us back every year now. I feel your confinement pain.
