Day 52 Thursday 29/6/2023 From ‘free firewood’ to Childers, cloudy 10 – 22 We’re on the road before 9:00am and we can’t complain about the drive as it’s not far. As we approach Childers the countryside changes to rich red soil with orchards and cane fields. We’re in the produce bowl that stretches from here to north of Bundaberg, growing fruit, vegetables, and nuts. Day 51 Wednesday 28/6/2023 Somewhere in Qld, warm 10 – 27 Elle packs up and heads off for a few days staying with friends in Bundaberg’s beachside spot, Bargara. Lucky duck, she only paid for 6 nights! We have a quiet day. The internet is flaky so it’s hard to get a blog post up. WikiCamps is still down due to the upgrade. Yackety Yack, Day 49 – Wide World of Wrestling Lizards

Day 49 Monday 26/6/2023 Somewhere in Qld, 15 – 28 some cloud Elle’s neighbours run their air conditioning all night long then start their truck at 6:00am and leave it running for 10 minutes. Aah, this is so peaceful. Woody takes the washing into town to the laundromat that advertises an opening time of 7:00am. He waits until 8:00 before giving up and returning for breakfast.
