When we first tried RVing in a motorhome in New Zealand we remarked “How good is this? Parking each night beside beaches, rivers, lakes and waterfalls. It will never be this good in Australia.” How wrong we were. March 2018 Suffering another dose of ‘new town excitement’ we head into Adelaide CBD for a look around, a haircut and lunch. The city is busy and in search of parking we find ourselves in the hip East End. We have an entertaining lunch at East End Cellars. It is a perfect place for lunch with great decor, wine by the glass and tasting plates. The entertainment is freely provided by the passing parade of hip young folk in ill-fitting clothes which leave us guessing as to their gender. The Brighton Caravan Park in suburban Adelaide has had a chequered history. It is owned by the local council but until recently was run down and full of permanents. The council decided to take a chance on an upgrade and now it is regularly booked out. At the foot of a high cliff the sites are grassy and beside the beach.
