Day 32 Friday 9/6/2023 Murwillumbah, sunny 10 – 23 Woody shops early for today’s lunch. We have a lazy morning. The weather is perfect, sunny, and no breeze. We can almost see the cane growing, a crystal, craft & jewellery show is setting up on the other side of the Showgrounds. Woody the Elder and The Very Good Golfer arrive for lunch, and we set the table out on the lawn in the shade of Elle’s motor home. Day 30 Wednesday 7/6/2023 Murwillumbah, sunny 13 – 22 A bright sunny and warm morning and the local farmers market ‘Murbah’ has set up at the far end of the Showgrounds. We return with bananas, passionfruit, capsicum relish, and felafels. Wandering the stalls is enjoyable, people are breakfasting on the lawns and the crowd is colourful, from trendy to hippie. The produce is farm fresh and the backdrop is acres of green sugar cane and the deep blue of the Mt Warning range.
