Day 33 Monday 28/6/21 Woodgate, breezy sunny 22 A dry morning is gratefully welcomed. We turn right out of the park (this is a town of few streets) and follow the road to Walkers Point which is a small group of weekenders on the Burrum River. On the far shore we can see the town of Burrum Heads. A long way by road a short distance by boat. I read on the beach in the afternoon as the sand is sheltered from the breeze. Woody walks the town. Day 32 Sunday 27/6/21 Woodgate, 15 feels like a soggy sock Woody had no trouble falling asleep in the drumming rain. He just took out his hearing aids, sighed loudly and hit the mattress. I, on the other hand was comparing the evening to bedding down inside a drum at a rock concert and that falling rain had no rhythm. The only respite was to pull the bed clothes over my ears.
