Day 32 Sunday 27/6/21 Woodgate, 15 feels like a soggy sock Woody had no trouble falling asleep in the drumming rain. He just took out his hearing aids, sighed loudly and hit the mattress. I, on the other hand was comparing the evening to bedding down inside a drum at a rock concert and that falling rain had no rhythm. The only respite was to pull the bed clothes over my ears. Capricorn Dancers, Day 24 – Chihuahua!

Day 24 Saturday 19/6/21 Kenilworth, sunny with a cool breeze We expect the park to get busier today but no. It’s about one third full though the town is jumping. It’s a hilly town and walking the backstreets is a good workout for the legs but we probably undo it by buying another tub of chocolate mousse and a punnet of strawberries. Concerned about the upcoming school holidays we make bookings and plan the next few weeks in the lead up to our Capricorn Coast Mulambin stay. Capricorn Dancers, Day 23 – Forgetful?

Day 23 Friday 18/6/21 Kenilworth, sunny 21 A chilly clear morning. Woody does the washing across the road at the community run Socks and Jocks Laundry. We take a drive to Maleny, 40kms to the south along the Blackall Range. It’s a picturesque drive through farmlands, dairy pastures and rainforests with views from the crests over the ranges. After walking the town we have a leisurely coffee and watch the local activity. It’s an upmarket as well as alternate town and there is a broad mix of population of all ages.
