Yeppoon, Qld  July 2018 There was great excitement today…the newly repaired coastal scenic drive was reopened 5 minutes late at 2:05pm. It was such a hot topic at the caravan park that Woody made a point of being there to be among the first to drive on it. We saw the local media and the smiling politicians and probably made the papers as we cruised by the photographers on that smooth stretch of bitumen. I think we’ve been in this town too long. Yarn Bombing

One must not always think of Queensland as being warm. In winter inland nights are icy and in August in Warwick we find ourselves diving into the caravan for a quick change into long pants and jumpers just so that we can buy some lunch. And for those who know Woody and his love of shorts, that is seriously cold. Confused by Stonehenge…again

Queensland June 2018 On the Thomson Development Road, from Jundah to Longreach, we detour into a tiny dot of a hamlet called Stonehenge and although nothing like its namesake we are once more left bewildered. There is a population of 30 and a good RV camp for bewildered souls to stop and ponder, an Information Centre and the iconic Stonehenge Pub, damn it’s too early to pop in for a drink.
