Day 93 Friday 11/8/20 Darlington Beach, warm cool wet dry 17 It’s washing day and a mob of kangaroos lounge outside the laundry. Some have made dust nests in the flower bed. They’re a treat to watch as I wait for the dryer to finish, what with little heads peeping out of warm furry pouches. We manage to squeeze a lunch into our busy day, down at the Woopi Seaview Tavern. No it’s not a drop in signal, the espresso machine is off too, damn! The lights of course are still on but they run on the 12 volt system. We check fuses, the park power box, then our lead. Day 88 Sunday 6/9/20 Darlington Beach A warm soggy morning. Our plover family have a success! A little bundle of fluff pops out from under Mum or Dad as The Prado’s watch on. We spend the afternoon watching the chick find its legs and stagger about as a young Joey hops in ever widening circles honing his bounding skills. And the sex of the chick? Heaven knows we still haven’t worked out which parent is which! Double or Nuthin’ and Shirley Temple have found another paradise on a farm stay near Ingham and R&T are still fattening up that turkey in Hervey Bay.
