Capricorn Dancers, Day 24 – Chihuahua!

Day 24 Saturday 19/6/21 Kenilworth, sunny with a cool breeze We expect the park to get busier today but no. It’s about one third full though the town is jumping. It’s a hilly town and walking the backstreets is a good workout for the legs but we probably undo it by buying another tub of chocolate mousse and a punnet of strawberries. Concerned about the upcoming school holidays we make bookings and plan the next few weeks in the lead up to our Capricorn Coast Mulambin stay. Capricorn Dancers, Day 23 – Forgetful?

Day 23 Friday 18/6/21 Kenilworth, sunny 21 A chilly clear morning. Woody does the washing across the road at the community run Socks and Jocks Laundry. We take a drive to Maleny, 40kms to the south along the Blackall Range. It’s a picturesque drive through farmlands, dairy pastures and rainforests with views from the crests over the ranges. After walking the town we have a leisurely coffee and watch the local activity. It’s an upmarket as well as alternate town and there is a broad mix of population of all ages. Capricorn Dancers, Day 17 – This is winter

Day 17 Saturday 12/6/21 Palm Beach (The Kardashian Coast) Sunny Walks on the creek are lovely and it’s hard to believe that it’s winter. The sky is so bright. The pathway is busy with posers, joggers and everyone making the most of what is a long weekend. It’s still a shock for us that social distancing doesn’t seem to exist.here. We take a walk around Burleigh Heads. Day 16 Friday 11/6/21 Casino to Palm Beach, warm sunny The uncertainty is getting to us. Do we risk 4 days in Murwillumbah Showgrounds at $25 per night and cross the border daily with no guarantee that we can continue into Qld when we are ready to move on or do we go into Qld and stay at Tallebudgera Creek for $65 per night? Capricorn Dancers, Day 15 – Waiting in Casino

Day 15 Thursday 10/6/21 Casino, sunny cool breeze Cool with bright sunshine. There are heavy snowfalls in the highlands of NSW, floods and gale force winds in Victoria. We’re grateful to have dodged that weather. Victoria will ease Covid restrictions tonight but Melburnians will still be limited to a 25km radius. MV and her husband Silicon (he’s a builder who’s always extolling the virtues of silicon) have had their Covid test, emptied their toilet (as per park instructions) and are now awaiting their results.
