Day 24 Saturday 19/6/21 Kenilworth, sunny with a cool breeze
We expect the park to get busier today but no. It’s about one third full though the town is jumping. It’s a hilly town and walking the backstreets is a good workout for the legs but we probably undo it by buying another tub of chocolate mousse and a punnet of strawberries.
Concerned about the upcoming school holidays we make bookings and plan the next few weeks in the lead up to our Capricorn Coast Mulambin stay. This is a constant worry as we always need a Plan B in family unpopular places like Showgrounds and towns that only excite oldies.
We have rather odd neighbours. There’s a small clapped out old van with broken fly wire that allows the curtains to blow out the window. There’s mum with pink hair, dad, grown son and an arthritic chihuahua. We wonder how they all fit in this tiny space.
The mousse is preceded by a bbq steak and salad.
