Day 31 Tuesday 5/7/2022 Kandanga to Gayndah, even wetter 9 – 11 It rained all night and this morning the ground is all puddles making it hard for the boys to pack up. This rain band stretches way down the east coast and we’re only getting the lightest of it. Just outside Gympie we see a large solar array which we presume services the city of Gympie. Day 30 Monday 4/7/2022 Kandanga, rain 9 – 13 The rain started again during the night. We drive into Gympie in search of a quick haircut for yours truly. I drop Woody off at the shopping centre and drive over the hill into the CBD. This town has streets that are reminiscent of Dunedin (home of the world’s steepest street) and at times it’s impossible to see the road ahead as it drops away at such a steep angle. Day 27 Friday 1/7/2022 Kenilworth, wet, wet, wet 13 – 17 We have morning sprinkles. It’s pleasant just wandering around in gumboots. We stock up on yoghurt and chocolate mousse at the Kenilworth Dairy and the boys do a little advance packing up to make things easier for tomorrow. It’s been a relaxing week here but it’s time to move on. The weather band is moving slowly and dowsing most of Queensland and New South Wales.
