Breakdown Blues – Day 27 – Itchy Feet

Day 27 Friday 1/7/2022 Kenilworth, wet, wet, wet 13 – 17

We have morning sprinkles. It’s pleasant just wandering around in gumboots. We stock up on yoghurt and chocolate mousse at the Kenilworth Dairy and the boys do a little advance packing up to make things easier for tomorrow. It’s been a relaxing week here but it’s time to move on. The weather band is moving slowly and dowsing most of Queensland and New South Wales. This means our plans to head west of the range may have to be shelved.

El Prado hears that his two Sunshine Coast brothers are both seriously ill. If you have followed this blog for some time you may realise that every winter we seem to run into several of El Prado’s many relatives. This time one has had a major heart issue and another is suffering from arsenic poisoning after having eaten red claw yabbies from a contaminated mine site. It could only happen in Queensland eh?

We cook a Creamy Chicken, Mushroom Risoni tray bake in the oven and it warms the van for our indoor happy hour.

Accom: $25.00
