Day 63 Wednesday 28/7/21 Mulambin, Sunny 24 The Prado’s and the Nuthin’s go to Gracemere east of Rockhampton to see the cattle saleyards in action. We bow out as we have been before, though it is a must see when in Central Queensland. After a morning of looking into those big beautiful doe eyes of Brahmans they return vowing not to eat beef…for a while at least. For me it’s a quiet day cleaning the cream sauce out of the oven. Capricorn Dancers, Day 62 – Cowboys and Indians

Day 62 Tuesday 27/7/21 Mulambin, sunny 23 I pop into a clinic for another shot (this time it’s one to keep oldies moving) and aside from the man with bright pink hair there’s a cowboy in the waiting room. A real one, the hat, the boots and the bowed legs and an ad for a rodeo on his shirt. I’m called in to see the doc and he’s an Indian (of the subcontinental variety). The doc directs me to the nursing station where one nurse has a persistent cough, and the one I get tells me that she’s new. Capricorn Dancers, Day 60 – Going where no one has been before

Day 60 Sunday 25/7/21 Mulambin, warm 23 We have a deliciously warm night with all the windows and hatches open but I wake to find that my Kindle is missing. It has slipped into that dark forbidden narrow gap between the bed and the wardrobe. A place where even the vacuum cleaner can’t reach. Rather than panic I have a shower and ponder a plan of search and rescue. I assume Woody is having brekkie outside in the sun. Capricorn Dancers, Day 59 – Did someone pull the plug out?

Day 59 Saturday 24/7/21 Mulambin, warm 27 The caravan park is busy with weekenders. They tend to start drifting in on Thursdays, young families in bunk vans and camper trailers. The kids really give the pool and playground a workout. Woody decides on a swim at Mulambin Beach but the tides here have quite a range and it’s low tide at present. It’s not, but it seems like, he walks half a kilometre to reach the water and then it’s shallow. He looks like a tiny black dot in the distance. I walk the shoreline instead.
