Capricorn Dancers, Days 66 & 67 – When life imitates art

Day 66 Saturday 31/7/21 Mulambin, warm 28

A warm and pleasant day and perfect for washing and handwashing to get some marks out that have been left by various washing machines. One of the downsides to using caravan park washing machines is that sometimes things do get some very strange marks.

We have a combined dinner, the boys bbq on the Weber, while we girls toss in an array of salads. It is a perfectly warm and late night.

Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast go into lockdown after another mystery Delta case.

Day 67 Sunday 1/8/21 Mulambin, breezy 25

Woody walks to Cooee Bay. It’s a glorious morning. I pick him up and as we stop at the marina for ice I spot a Pheasant Coucal a type of cuckoo in the trees.

The park’s ‘resident’ emu appears and spends some time wandering the park trying to cadge food. We’ve been warned not to feed him.

I take a long walk on Mulambin Beach, all walks on this beach are long.

Happy hour at the Nuthin’s van is serenaded by 3 baby blue faced honeyeaters singing for their supper and all cheeky faces grey and fluffy.

There are 9 Covid cases in Qld and we hear rumour of a case in Rocky and wonder if we’ll be in lockdown here.
