Day 63 Wednesday 28/7/21 Mulambin, Sunny 24
The Prado’s and the Nuthin’s go to Gracemere east of Rockhampton to see the cattle saleyards in action. We bow out as we have been before, though it is a must see when in Central Queensland. After a morning of looking into those big beautiful doe eyes of Brahmans they return vowing not to eat beef…for a while at least. For me it’s a quiet day cleaning the cream sauce out of the oven. Silicon and MV pop in for happy hour and make a booking to stay here for a few days. We’ve got the midges beaten now but giant mozzies have moved in and tend to attack our heads like dive bombers.

I know exactly what you mean about those eyes and the guilt they cause. For me it was especially bad when the eyes were looking out between the bars of the cattle transporters.

Ooh. A friend of mine used to tell the kids that the cows were going on holidays.
