Capricorn Dancers, Day 58 – Forward March!

Day 58 Friday 23/7/21 Mulambin, warm 24

Woody is up early to walk into Yeppoon. A whopping 15kms as the walking path is winding and twice as long as the road. It’s also a lovely day for a gentle stroll along Lammermoor beach. The tide has just turned and is way, way out. Blue soldier crabs are marching about in frenzied platoons. Hermit crabs and molluscs wriggle across the sand inscribing patterns as they go. Not to be outdone by all this activity red tailed black cockatoos fly past their unmistakable cry hangs in the air. A pair of kites ride the stiff breeze and a large osprey soars overhead.

On the Covid front Sydney’s outbreak has been declared a National emergency.

  1. Looks like Australia has started to experience Covid case loads in the same way Canadians (and most of the rest of the world) has for the past 18 months. Hope the vaccine is your countries ticket to a fast recovery!

    1. Oh Margy, do you have a secret formula for teaching people to listen to scientists rather than social media? Is it any wonder we can’t get climate action if folks can’t decide whether they’d prefer to live or die. Sorry for the rant, stay safe and have a great day!

      1. The question is – which scientists are people supposed to listen to? Any topic, from Covid to Climate Change, will have reputable scientists who disagree and governments with differing priorities!
