Day 62, 13/9/2019 Friday, Nambucca Heads to Morisset, just 20 It’s time to say goodbye to this captivating area. We spot an osprey nest atop a pole, in a paddock. Smoke still hangs in the air. The Pacific Highway thankfully, is quiet. We quickly get back into the rhythm of the road. Woody stabbing the Scan button on the radio to find John Laws then groaning when the only station is full of static. Yay. Nambucca Noodlings – Saying goodbye

Sep 2019, Nambucca Heads, NSW We’re starting to pack. Woody scoots down to Macksville to buy delicious ham off the bone from our favourite butcher. Washing day is easy as we’re parked close to the laundry. Woody takes advantage of the improved weather and washes the awning with awning cleaner mix. El Prado who’s also scrubbing away admits to carrying a full- sized vacuum cleaner with them just to clean his car. Day 54, 5/9/2019 Thursday Wooli to Nambucca Heads, hot 25 We wake up scratching. Bloody midge bites, so much for the gorgeous sunset. Midges or not it’s hard to leave this relaxing place with well maintained lawns and gardens, river frontage and plenty of birdlife. We stop for a coffee in Woolgoolga (aka the Sikh town). We haven’t been here for years and we want to see how it has grown. It is much bigger and there is a second temple but we can’t smell the curry that was all pervading last time we camped here.
