South of Corryong, up in the Nariel Valley at Stacey’s Bridge where the road becomes gravel and heads over the mountains to Omeo you’ll find a grassy camp ground that stretches across both sides of the road. There are drop toilets and fire pits and of course the Nariel River. In summer the Nariel Music Festival is held here. The Nariel is a narrow valley of cow paddocks and interesting farm houses selling brown bags of ‘Nariel Gold’ spuds. There are windbreaks and avenues of poplars, ash and elms tinged with autumn colour. Angus cattle graze the roadsides and bales of hay are in the paddocks.

Yes, lovely spot and very familiar, especially that first photo.
