Any Victorian who has ever towed a ski boat from Melbourne to Echuca* and back would know this pub. This imposing edifice dominates the town of Rochester and as you can see in the photo, this is where anyone heading south ‘hangs a rightie’.
It’s not a bad spot to escape the heat on hot summer’s day either.
*Water skiing on the Murray at Echuca is a right of passage for most Melburnians.
