Whilst meditating in the room of deep thought, I remembered that as a much younger person I thought that it would be rather good to produce a book on the dunnies of Australia. Since then I’ve seen many coffee table books on the subject, so I can’t have been the only one with such a ridiculous idea. Now back to the present and still in that room of deep thought it suddenly dawns on me that this blog spot is quite possibly the modern day version of the idea.
Today’s featured dunny is located on the Grawin opal fields of NSW not far from Lightning Ridge. By not far I should explain, not far to drive and too far to walk. And before you turn your nose up this dunny could very well be sitting atop a King’s ransom in opal… or maybe not.
My father in law has a book on Aussie funnies. It sat on his coffee table for years.
