Season’s Greetings to all

‘Tis the season to be jolly, so may I wish you all a jolly good festive season and the hope that we all have a healthy New Year.

I have chosen this pic from the little Central Victorian town of Chiltern. An historic and National Trust classified town whose residents have gone all out to spread the joy of the season. The many shop veranda posts have been yarn bombed so much I believe they’re supported with more wool than wood. There are Santa’s on bicycles, angels with solar lighting, even woollen lizards. Confusion reigns in this Christmas abundance as street bollards are adorned with aliens in Santa hats. But, the one that gives us the most giggles is this trio, Jesus, Mary and Joseph with a kangaroo and koala at their feet.

We’ll be off the air for a few days doing all the things that one does at this time of the year. Thanks for following our travels and have a safe and wonderful festive season. In the mean time I’m going to be knitting new beards for Joseph and pondering why this poor Mary looks a little like a lady with night time business skills.

  1. Have a happy and safe Christmas Lindsay and co. Eat, drink and be merry – and remember, it’s not what you eat and drink between Christmas and New Year that does the damage, it’s what you you eat and drink between New Year and Christmas! See ya next year.
