Day 49 Monday 26/6/2023 Somewhere in Qld, 15 – 28 some cloud
Elle’s neighbours run their air conditioning all night long then start their truck at 6:00am and leave it running for 10 minutes. Aah, this is so peaceful.

Woody takes the washing into town to the laundromat that advertises an opening time of 7:00am. He waits until 8:00 before giving up and returning for breakfast. After breakfast, he heads back down and is successful. “QLD time” mutters VeeWee.
I visit the red long drop toilet having given up on the grey one as it is revolting. I open the door and notice that there’s no paper in there either, but at least it has been cleaned. Doing the walk of shame and returning with toilet roll in hand, I get down to business. Suddenly there’s a thumping and banging and I fear for my exposed nether regions when thankfully two fighting lizards drop from the ceiling!

Little Nic gets clipped, VeeWee books a site at Biggenden as she’ll be heading south soon. Elle arranges to meet friends in Bundaberg for a few days.
Dinner is a salmon risotto.
Accom: $32.00

Sometimes a stay remains etched in our memory for all the wrong reasons…

It’s all part of the experience, I guess.

WCs seem to be the new National Treasure as far as your sketch pad is concerned!

They are a bit of a cultural thing, but not so much of the W.

Is that a used toilet roll at the entrance in your drawing? I like “the walk of shame”.

It’s a log of wood, for propping the door ajar after a visit. I guess you could call it a deodoriser.
