Barellan in the Riverina district of NSW is the birthplace of Evonne Goolagong Cawley. In honour of her achievements as one of Australia’s finest tennis players the good folks of Barellan have mounted an enormous tennis racquet in the main street.

Evonne Goolagong. That takes me back. She was probably one of the first tennis players I actually remember watching. Good times!
