Macleay Valley

Driving between the coastal towns of Crescent Head and South West Rocks one passes through the dairying area of the Macleay Valley.

The Macleay Valley is cow’s paradise, the wide river flats of lush green grass and birds wading in small soaks. There are little hamlets with names like Rainbow’s End and Rainbow Reach and Jerseyville where the houses, on stilts, cling to the river banks.
