A delightful and cheaper alternative in the Byron Bay area is the Alstonville Showgrounds. Situated a block behind the centre of a charming little town there is a choice of camping on the oval or under the protection of a large shed. If that’s not enough to have you swinging off the highway, there’s a rather inviting pub on the main street as well.
