Moama Waters Holiday Park

The twin township of Echuca / Moama is a Murray River playground. Providing everything that one would need. Is it any wonder that the population of the area is growing.

Moama Waters Holiday Park is about 4 kms from the heart of Moama township but well worth the drive, it is a modern and purpose built park with large grassy sites around a manmade lake. There is a boat ramp with river access at the back of the park, large attractive cabins and an adventure swimming pool. When completed it looks like being four times larger than it currently is. We couldn’t wait to hit the pool and the water slides. The camp kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and we were easily able to cook up burgers in the kitchen for our hungry herd of caravanners.

When it comes to entertainment the most impressive Moama Bowls Club has a courtesy bus pick up service for those in need of a good meal and a little extra refreshment. And it’s only a short drive across the river to explore the historic Echuca Wharf precinct with all it has to offer. Immerse yourself in paddle steamer history then enjoy a meal at one of the many cafes or hotels. After floating down the river on the PS Pevensey (dogs allowed too) we waddled off to the Star Hotel for a couple of their scrumptious pizzas barely making it back in time for dinner at the Bowls Club. God, this life is tough!

We’ve lost count of the times that we’ve stayed or camped at Echuca / Moama but we would certainly return and especially to the relaxing Moama Waters Holiday Park.

  1. I loved our stay in Moama too. I think the place we stayed at was a bit out of town on the river ( called Merral I think). It was a fabulous place to stay too. How great that you could take your dog with you when cruising up the river.
