Murphy’s Haystacks

Murphy’s Haystacks near Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula are intriguing rock formations (inselbergs) that really do look like large haystacks from a distance. Legend has it that a visiting Irish agricultural expert upon seeing the formations on the distant hillside assumed that farmer Murphy must have been harrowing his land to produce such fine haystacks.
