Oct 2012, Approaching Broken Hill, NSW
The road signs tell us we are now on Central Standard Time (South Australian Time even though we’re in NSW) and our clever little iPhones suddenly drop back a half hour.
We pull into Copi Hollow Caravan Park (100kms to the east) and although we’re now back on Eastern Standard Time, the park itself is on Central Time, as it is owned by the Broken Hill Speed Boat Club! Those iPhones aren’t so clever now.

Almost as confusing as living here in The GC when daylight saving starts. Not as much water around this year

Yes a tad crazy at Coolangatta Tweed.

Crazy how some states have half hour differences and others are directly north yet are an hour behind! Really confusing for you travelling types. You need your own Travelling Time.

You just give up worrying about the time. Some towns really should be in the next time zone because they’re only 50kms from the border and the sun feels a couple of hours out of kilter.
