Jul 2018, Innes Park near Bundaberg, Qld
Once a 12,000 acre station property in an area described by explorer and later its’ manager Nugent Wade Brown as “the most beautiful place in the world”, Barolin Homestead overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The current homestead was built by Sidney North Innes in 1912. A classic Queenslander design.

Love those quaint old homesteads dotted all over australia. So much history hidden away and full of local stories.

I can’t help but think how difficult it would have been to get to some of them back then.

There’s something absolutely it those Queenslanders . Actually I think all weatherboard houses have a character that brick lacks.

Yes they do have character. Don’t you love the architectural differences in each state dictated by climate and termites?
