Aug 2018, Cobram, Vic
I don’t know how other Victorians feel but to us and Victoria being such a small state, that by the time we reach the border we feel like we are already home. We often find ourselves in a Murray River town like Tocumwal or Cobram putting our feet up and talking about the trip that was.
When you want a getaway or to catch your breath after a lot of driving the RACV Cobram Resort is well worth it’s price tag of $44. Well organised, huge, yes huge sites with a patch of lawn as well. An indoor heated pool. An outdoor pool. Plenty of birdlife. A large slab for the van and our chairs, as well as one for the car. A thick privacy hedge that the small birds love flitting through. A beautiful laundry that takes the drudge out of wash day. Heated bathrooms. A coffee shop and an ornamental lake and about 2 mins drive from the heart of town, now that is pretty good value I’d say especially when we had the whopping heated pool and spa all to ourselves.

Sounds like a great place to treat oneself to.

Usually campground bathrooms are a place to dread on cold winter mornings so discovering a heated one would be absolute bliss.

This was more of a resort family holiday style park. But most we find through word of mouth, campers love a chat, or the WikiCamps app. With 40,000 camps and poi’s on their site, we’ve got a long way to go.
