Day 35
Friday 10th April 2015
Australind to Gwelup, Perth
It has been raining solid for almost 24 hours and we’ve had an estimated 50mm of heavy plopping rain courtesy of a cyclone out in the Indian Ocean. Woody said that someone was dancing on the roof last night. Well they certainly weren’t fairies.
The weather brightens as we near Perth and soon we’re having coffee with old mates C & C in Fremantle. As we leave, their small poodle races over to the nature strip (verge) garden and has a jolly good sniff. “Oh” says our friend “Charlie is checking his pee mail.” And as he cocks his leg, “Now he’s sending one.”
Karrinyup Waters Resort in Gwelup in the northern suburbs is a huge park. It even has two lakes. The check in system is brilliant and a helpful guy in a golf cart relieves me of the job of guiding us in. How good is that?
Caravan ditched we spend the arvo cruising around our favourite Perth haunts. We find more fresh roasted coffee to stock up the pantry. Breakfast is saved. They do take their coffee seriously in this state almost as seriously as fishing.
Accom: $38.85
Travelling Kms: 172Kms

You perhaps know that my son Sam and his family must be neighbours of C & C.
