Day 3, Thursday 25th November 2021 Broken Creek, becoming wet
We drive into Benalla, have a walk around town and a coffee at Zeus. I’m not surprised to see that there’s an art supplies shop in town as Benalla has so much street art. There is a well-known art gallery here, the intriguing ceramic sculpture on the riverbank and barely a wall in town that hasn’t morphed into a mural in recent years.
We arrive back at camp at lunchtime as steady rain begins to fall. The Toothless’s and VeeWee have moved on to Tocumwal where they’re being pounded with rain. I discover that I’ve left my paintbrushes at home and zip back into town to pick up a couple, glad that I spotted that art shop. It’s only spitting rain so I take a walk along the lakeshore.
In gumboots, we spend the afternoon in the camp kitchen out of the rain. Silicon & MV arrive and the rain stops around 8:00pm leaving plenty of puddles for us to splosh about in.
