Interesting thought. I think I do! because we have invested time with the building, have taken the time to know it more intimately than those that pass by it, use it or photograph it, but don’t really study it or pay attention to its features, quirks, size of windows, and so on. In a way that the building itself will never know, we have acknowledged, honoured and given to it, so it feels like we have more of a stake in it than other mere mortals. lol Similar to giving to a charity, I suppose, we feel more of a connection to the charity we give to. 🙂
