Capricorn Coast, Qld
Yes, there are emus in the area. Emu Park is a pretty town with a good supermarket, several cafes, and a few shops. The caravan park here is beside one of the towns’ three beaches and it is just a stroll through the park to the shops. The weekly market is popular on Sundays.
Not to be missed is the RSL war memorial boardwalk. It is best to return at night to see it lit up. Overlooking the boat ramp is the Singing Ship built in honour of James Cook’s voyage. And it does ‘sing’ when the breeze is blowing.

Those are splendid ware memorials

One of the best ever coastal walks, including the memorial.

It has so much to offer, beautiful views and informative stories.

This war memorial is quite imaginative; there are so many of them everywhere that it is difficult to stand out.

The market and war memorial boardwalk at Emu Park are well worth a visit. For golfers the golf course is also a good challenge on a well treed and hilly course. Cheers

Oh yes, it is hilly!

The boardwalk and stories are fantastic. I had to revisit the singing ship when we were there, I remember visiting it as a child when it seemed to sit on the hill all by itself with nothing around it.
