Yarram, Vic
Day 6 Thursday 27/11/2025 Yarram, cold and showery 10 – 16
Those who haven’t tried the fish and chips at Port Albert head down to the coast for lunch. Between showers, we take a walk around town admiring the unusual buildings and the many Heesco murals. There are so many of his murals that he must have taken up residence here for quite a while.

We spend the afternoon indoors as we are both finishing good books. We’re disappointed to hear that a couple of our crew were given a personal tour of the beautifully restored Regent Theatre. Damn we missed it! The Regent now hosts regular theatre nights screening the movie greats.

Happy Hour is in the camp kitchen eating pizza. Not a bad effort considering that no-one thought they had room for dinner.
Accom: $ 37.50

Clearly a fascinating location

I’m always amazed at what you find when you stop for a few days and look around.

‘Heesco town’ is on my must see list. I believe the artist was made to feel so welcome that he made a few return visits.
