Out in Central Queensland just a few kilometres west from Roma CBD, turn left at the windmill for a bitumen road access and you’ll find the Roma Clay Target Club. This might sound like a strange place for a caravan park but the club has hosted National events so they have excellent facilities that they like to share with RVers for a bit of extra income. A splendid bitumen car park provides level sites. There is a park manager on site. The members have even supplied concrete awning tie downs. Bathroom facilities are first class. There are views across the surrounding paddocks and superb sunsets. The members provide a happy hour in the bar every evening which is a good chance to meet other campers. We were lucky enough to be there for Thursday night practise and watch the shooters in action. They patiently explained the sport to us and put on a BBQ afterwards. Now you wouldn’t get that at a caravan park.
