It’s a mid July morning in the low twenties (Celsius) when we stop for supplies in Proserpine, Qld. Two older ladies in cardigans move aside for us in the supermarket aisle. As usual we’re wearing T shirts and shorts and one lady taps me on the arm and asks “aren’t you cold?” “No” says Woody “we’re from Melbourne.” That left them giggling.

Oh for some of that warmth just now!

Allegedly, it’s mid summer here and I’d love those early twenties to show up and stick around for a while, so tired of wearing a cardi and my new shorts still have the tags on!

Ah so that’s why our English mates have gone to Spain!

Northern Europe has really suffered this ‘summer’ with lots of rain, flooding, winds, so I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that.

Low twenties? Of COURSE you were in shorts. We should be so lucky. It’s a dreadful summer here in the UK.
