In the early morning we take the Obi Obi boardwalk from the Maleny showgrounds along the creek and into town. Just a short half kilometre of musty sub tropical rainforest with a whip bird keeping us company and somewhere very near. The creek burbles below us. It is wondrous and the town’s effort to regrow the rainforest is paying off. It is freezing cold, beanie weather and even the locals are complaining.
