Spring 2017
We take a short drive out from Benalla, Vic to check out Broken Creek Bush Camp, the one that was recommended to us around a campfire up in Miles, Qld and recently by a couple of mates. This is a bush camp on a farm owned by caravanners so they know what people want. For a small fee there are countless huge level sites each with a fire pit. Each site cleverly delineated by a large log for sitting on. As well there is water available, some portable toilets, a dump point and a large camp kitchen under construction. Best of all it’s well away from main roads and peaceful. I can’t wait to get back here and put up the feet for a few days. For those making the trek north up the Hume Highway Broken Creek Bush Camp is a perfect overnighter after leaving Melbourne.

Thanks for the tip, I’ve “favourited” (is that a thing?) it in WikiCamps

It is a funny life Leland, sometimes home and catching our breath and sometimes exploring. Often dependant on weather patterns as like your wonderful country there is an enormous difference in climate…and we don’t want to mess with cyclones!
