We have a lot of eucalyptus trees in Southern California…they were brought over from Australia in the 1860s to be used for railroad ties. Someone didn’t do their homework because the wood is way too soft and warps easily. There are always downed trees after strong winds here.

And they drop their limbs in the heat. There are so many different types and each has different bark I wish I knew more about them.
