Serendipitous

My doctor asked how long we would be away and I said that I was unsure. “Oh serendipitous” he replied.

A few weeks later we’re making sandwiches at a dusty roadside rest area on the Eyre Highway when a chap walking his dogs wanders over for a chat. He and his wife are on their way to Western Australia and he happens to mention that they were the first free campers at the Little River Hotel  in Little River Vic and how much they enjoyed their stay. The four of us almost fall off our chairs. It was only a few weeks ago that our caravan club mob were the ones who talked Kylie the publican into offering camping to patrons and suggested that she join the Country Pub Camping site. Serendipitous indeed.
