The Brighton Caravan Park in suburban Adelaide has had a chequered history. It is owned by the local council but until recently was run down and full of permanents. The council decided to take a chance on an upgrade and now it is regularly booked out. At the foot of a high cliff the sites are grassy and beside the beach. The all-important amenities are brand new. At night it is peaceful and quiet unlike so many city caravan parks.

Wow – looks like an amazing site and a perfect place to fall out of your caravan on to your windsurfer!

We stayed there for a few weeks over Christmas in 2014. I think the upgrade had just been finished. It was a fabulous place to stay.
