A popular swimming hole, Platypus Beach is below the cane railway bridge over the Pioneer River at Mirani. There’s plenty of room on the wide sandy beach for 4×4’s as well as picnickers. But you’ve got to love the positivity of the Mirani Pub for their sign placement. Afterall when people swim they get hungry…and thirsty.
