May 2018, North Bourke, outback NSW.
You can’t go wrong in Bourke as both caravan parks are excellent. This time we chose Kidman’s Camp and it’s an oasis with grassy sites, palms, bougainvilleas and two swimming pools which makes for a restful stay after a few long driving days. We clean the vans, do the washing and feel relaxed.
A short dusty walk away down on the Darling River the PS Yanda is taking passengers on paddle steamer trips, giving them a taste of what it once was.

Kidmans Camp looks lovely especially that pool. Hope you managed to have a dip or two?

We went for a walk through dust and saltbush instead. There must be something wrong with us cos it was awfully hot.

You should’ve had a dip. Learn from your mistakes for next time!

We have just spent 4 nights here an oasis in the desert. The owners are doing everything possible to keep this place green and inviting. Large clean amenities , 2 swimming pools and very friendly & helpful owners
Cheers
