Banned on the Run, Day 6 – 16 – Of walks & Shells & Baking

June 2020, Nambucca Heads, NSW

I think that the whole Covid thing has had quite an effect on us as we all laze about doing little but a few beach and V Wall breakwater walks.

Woody is walking up the hill each morning, I take the Nyambaga Trail walk to sunny north facing Shelly Beach where there’s always someone braving a swim. VeeWee and Nicola the poodle are plying the river walk.

After days of beach walks, at last I have a productive beach walk. One could say “The sea was angry today” delivering what one happy sheller called “the seas treasures” as a handsome Phallium rolled to my feet. A pretty spotted helmet shell.

TNT Electrics came to the park and replaced the 7 pin plug on the car thus solving our van’s left hand indicator problem.

El Prado bakes a delicious banana cake with their surplus bananas. They’re handy in the kitchen those Prado’s.

Back home Victoria has gone back to Stage 2 lockdown after a spike in cases. I would imagine that this will put paid to the plans of Double or Nuthin’ and Shirley Temple as they have delayed their departure. Us? Well we’re starting to feel like escapees. We may not be allowed into Qld but there’s so much to explore in northern NSW that we won’t be too disappointed.
