The Western Districts, Day 3 – Takin’ it slow

Day 3 Wednesday 18/11/20 Meredith Park, high 20’s

It’s a glorious morning. The wind has dropped out, the lake is calm and powder blue. The fishermen camped near us have caught more fish and they really do look like ironing ladies scaling their catch. An expectant pelican swims back and forth waiting for the scraps.

The El Prado’s and a whole bunch more arrive by the end of the day. It’s a warm evening and we eat dinner outside while we chat. There’s a stunning sunset as the pelicans fish the shoreline.
